UBA Ghana launches 6th national essay competition for SHS.
The UBA Foundation National Essay Competition which was launched in 2014 in Ghana, has provided a competitive platform to develop the intellectual and writing abilities of SHS students in Ghana.
Arrif Abudul Sabit, a student of the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Legon, Accra emerged winner of the fifth edition of UBA National Essay competition. This is the second time PRESEC has won the award consecutively with the last year’s winner, Jason Emmanuel Ghansah of PRESEC and two other girls from Wesley Girls who won the second and third position currently pursuing their tertiary.

Dorcas participated in the maiden edition of the UBA Foundation’s National Essay Competition in 2014 as a student of Keta Senior High Technical School. She emerged the Second Runner-Up and was awarded a scholarship to support her tertiary education. The UBA Foundation’s National Essay Competition initiative has been operational in other countries in Africa including Ghana and Senegal whilst Mozambique and Kenya are expected to kick off in 2020. The initiative .is mapped out to spread to more African countries in the very near future.
